A recent editorial and tips in this journal have extolled the virtues of making clear presentations using computer presentation software, in particular the commercial software PowerPoint (Microsoft, Redmond, WA). AJR readers may be interested to know that free software packages are available that can create professional presentations without furthering our national dependence on a software monopoly.
