Zollinger-Ellison syndrome

(medicine) A disorder where increased levels of the hormone gastrin are produced, causing the stomach to produce excess hydrochloric acid; often caused by a tumor (gastrinoma) of the duodenum or pancreas, and resulting in peptic ulcers.
