(pharmacology) A cytotoxic antineoplastic agent C₉H₁₃N₃O₅ that is a synthetic isomer of the naturally occurring nucleoside of cytosine and arabinose and is used to treat several types of leukemias, especially acute myeloid leukemia in adults.
