(US, economics) A company that was properly registered with a cognizant State authority and may have an associated bank account, but was not renewed with the State after its first year. These companies are sold with, or without a bank account intact within the first year by the Registered Agent (RA) to third parties while continuing to use the RA address as the business address thereby enabling the third party to operate with anonymity during and beyond the first year.
