裸参り: visiting a shrine or temple naked in winter

Small combining form of hiragana ゑ (we) used in the 拗音 (yōon) morae く𛅑 (kwe) and ぐ𛅑 (gwe). Historically it was not distinguished from the full-size version; it is primarily used to transcribe foreign loanwords containing the sound.
