PLE maps for benzene, toluene, ethylacetate, and acetone show that the photoluminescence intensity ( 315,000 counts) of FC12–(6,5)-SWNTs in toluene dispersion is 15 to 20 times that for other solvents (see maximum intensity in the bottom of each panel in Fig. 2 ; table S1 lists the relative photoluminescence intensities as a function of nanotube species, diameter, and chiral angle).
