Age-matched IFN-γ-deficient (IFN-γ -/- ) mice on a C57BL/6 background [23 ] were bred at the Laboratory for Experimental Biomedicine (EBM), University of Gothenburg, and all mice were housed in microisolators for the duration of the study.
