In the present study we sought to investigate the dynamic features and clinical consequences of the thymus-dependent pathway of T cell regeneration after UCBT by analyzing the kinetics of the two major thymotropic cytokines IL-7 and SCF in patient blood, their association with thymic output and quantitative reconstitution of T cell subsets, as well as their prognostic value for clinical outcomes after dUCBT in adult recipients.
