Therefore polyphenols, which are known to inhibit COX–2 in vitro, i.e. nobiletin [9, 12 ], naringenin [7, 13 ], apigenin [6, 10, 13 ], wogonin [8, 14 ], genistein [10 ], epigallocatechingallat (EGCG) [10, 15 ] and resveratrol [11, 16, 17 ], as well as the resveratrol oligomers ε-viniferin and hopeaphenol, were comprehensively analyzed regarding their effects on COX–2.
