Granule size is the amount of increase or decrease that a single change in checkerboardedness within the matrix imparts on the C-Score (i.e., the minimum incremental change in C-Score); it is equal to one divided by the number of pairwise comparisons 1/(r(r– 1)/2) where r is the number of rows in the matrix.
