Whereas only 1 of the 7 ventricular-most nuclei (14%) of the Tbr2–/Tbr2– daughter cell pairs in the control was found in an abventricular location, 7 of the 15 nuclei (47%) analyzed upon conditional Pax6 expression were abventricular ( Fig 4I ).
