Daily for a week in December electric locomotive No. E5009 hauled a train consisting of one of the L.M.R. dynamometer cars and ten fully loaded ballast hopper wagons, with a ballast brakevan on each end, between Stewarts Lane and the Dover line; these were described in the special notices as "wheel slip tests".
