In recent years, important evidence has come to light about a detached palace of the Sui and Tang. Known as Renshougong during the Sui dynasty and as Jiuchenggong in Tang times, its remains lie in Linyou county of Shaanxi province, about 163 kilometers from the capital Daxing-Chang’an.
