Moreover, the insurrection —small as it was—has brought home to Europe and to the Greeks, who are so actively engaged in endeavouring to “Greekise” the whole of Southern Albania, the fact that there are Albanians in this district, and that Moslems as well as Orthodox Christians are prepared to risk their lives and property by fighting for the interests of their nationality.

Recent additions to the calendar of celebrations include the community-based Titiwi Festival held in Layou village and Cochrane's Rabbit Festival. At these events, against a backdrop of music and other entertainment, residents and visitors get to sample titiwi (a tiny translucent fish) or rabbit cooked in a variety of different ways.

Unfortunately, several SMs, who are more interested in adding Eagle notches on their walking stick than real scouting, simply signed the blue cards and turned them in while knowing full well what had happened.
