We have two of them [a longhair (about 8lb) and a shorthair (about 5 lb)]., plus a small terrier (about 10lb) and a biiiig dog (lab/doby mix). Both rat-dogs are excitable, but not nasty. It is hard to sit down in my house without a dogette
wanting to jump in your lap. All they want is to be petted and to sleep in your lap.
